IDIOMS AND PERSONALITY TYPES IN TEACHING
Have you ever heard about the Big Five? What about the 16 Personalities? Well, these terms refer to two personality theories developed in the last century. The first one, also called the Five Factor Model is a trait personality theory developed by D.W. Fiske in 1949 and is currently the most accepted theory among psychologists . This theory implies five traits that define our personality.
The second mentioned theory is a reinterpretation of the Big Five Model by Myers-Briggs as a "framework for understanding personality" (Katherine Qwan, 2021), which allows people to have an insight about their own perception of the world, process information, strenghts, weaknesses and others.
In this blog we are going to talk about these traits, its core patterns, and mixed these patterns with some terms coined in the"16 personalities theory" with a teaching insight and relate the previous terms with idioms that describes personalities.
First off, let's take a survey from this website: The Big Five Personality Test | Truity to access a database for a better understandings of these traits and patterns. I enjoy watching the beauty of flowers, butterflies, birds, the sea...and so on, Moreover, I could spend an entire day at a museum.
